After completing Graphic Design & Multimedia Diplomas at NATCOLL in 1999, I exported myself to Sydney where I worked for 3 years along side some very talented designers in a local ad agency as a web and graphic designer. I moved back to NZ in 2004 and freelanced for 3 years as JP3 design, cut to 2007 I decided to change things up and worked for a local prominent web development company as their Creative Director. In April 2009, equipped with a shiny new iMAC and a hunger to provide some excellent graphic and web designs for prospective clients, I threw caution to wind amidst the recession and made the head first jump into freelancing again.
Whether designing for print or websites my three goals are: (1) visually the design must rock my world as well as the clients. (2) all websites must be user friendly and function like a well oiled bionic leg. (3) the final result must ultimately exceed the clients expectations.
When I’m not chained to my iMAC, I’ll be playing drums for ‘The Easy Hearts’, or creating electronic music for a new project called ‘Butterfly Caught‘, apart from design, music & drumming has been a passion of mine for around 20 years, and it’s very rare that I don’t have some excellent tunes blasting whilst in creative mode.
